Community Notification Reminder: COVID-19 Response - Level 2 Actions
Dear Residents,
We would like to provide you with the latest updates further to our 7 April 2020 communication on COVID-19.
The Estate activated our Level 2 plans after the Yangon Regional Government (YRG) heightened safe-distancing measures as a result of increasing number of COVID-10 positive cases. To pre-empt escalating infections, the YRG reduced movements and interactions in public and private places particularly during the Thingyan holidays.
Please be assured that the Estate Management team is in constant contact with the Ministry of Health & Sports. The Ministry will notify us should a patient living at the Estate be tested positive for COVID-19, and we will duly inform you and all our staff members to ensure your health and safety. Our priority continues to be the safety of our residents and staff.
To recap, the following are guidelines from YRG:
Within the Estate:
You may move around while maintaining physical distancing. We do, however, recommend movement only for essential services and exercise.
Outside the Estate:
Should you require to go out of the Estate, you should only do so for the following reasons:
Healthcare: To go to the hospital or to a clinic for urgent medical needs;
Food: To buy daily necessities.
As a result of the above guidelines from YRG, the Estate implemented the following Level 2 Action Plan with effect from Friday 10 April 2020 until further notice:
All residents and staff need to be registered with the Estate;
The Estate will be operating under a Crisis Management Team, and will continue to provide essential services (waste management, utilities, customer support, water treatment and security);
A full security team will be on site for support;
The Country Store will be opened from 10am to 7pm (Tel 09760112102);
Veggie Farm will be opened daily between 4pm to 6pm, vouchers could be purchased from the Country Store;
The Swimming Pool, Tennis Courts and the Gym will be reopened only if there is no new reported COVID-19 positive cases between now and 19 April 2020; or pending the Estate Management’s discretion in consultation with medical experts from Pun Hlaing Siloam Hospital. Social distancing protocols must be strictly adhered to at these premises;
All construction works will stop operations;
Golf Course will remain open for residents only, but with limited services provided;

Residents who have ordered delivery from other suppliers, please note that the Estate will only allow suppliers who have been issued an “Essential Label” by the Ministry of Health and Sports before they are allowed to enter the Estate. Those allowed entry will also have to adhere and qualify for entry based on temperature screening. In the event the delivery does not have the “Essential Label”, residents must collect the items at the gate, while respecting social distancing strictly at all times;
The Campus will be closed, and all staff will be working from home. Only the Yoma Group’s COVID-19 management response team will continue operations.
In addition to the above measures, we would like to remind you that the following measurements have already been implemented:
All Estate events postponed;
Dulwich College Yangon closed;
Spa closed;
Third-party construction sites around the Estate have stopped operations. We would also like to suggest that you take stricter safe-distancing measures by staying at home and avoid any non-essential contact for the next 14 days.
Should you show any COVID-19 symptoms or have travel history to parts of the world infected with COVID-19, the recommendations are;
Consult professional medical advice;
Self-isolation for a minimum period of 14 days. I.e. avoid contact with others;
Notify Pun Hlaing Estate management;
Maintaining good personal hygiene including washing hands well and often.
