Entry into Myanmar marks the 36th country in the German wholesale company's international portfolio. Built on its modern warehouse in Yangon and empowered by its efficient digital ordering and delivery services, METRO Wholesale Myanmar is serving local professional customers in the fast-growing hospitality and tourism sectors. Distinctive from its operations in other countries, METRO in Myanmar doesn't run stationary wholesale stores but provides a virtual "one-stop" convenient shopping experience for customers through e-commerce and delivery systems. Central to the wholesale operations in Myanmar is the 5,800 m2 warehouse situated in Thilawa Special Economic Zone outside Yangon. It is a state-of-the-art facility where incoming goods are received, stored, processed and packed in compliance with stringent quality and food safety standards for delivery to customers. At present, closed to 1500 customers across the country are enable to select from an assortment of over 3,000 high quality food and non-food products through METRO's e-commerce website. Delivery is carried out through a third-party logistics service provider with a fleet of modern temperature-controlled trucks.


Warehouse & Valued-Added Service METRO Wholesale Myanmar's state-of-the-art warehouse in Thilawa special economic zone was completed by the end of 2018. With the initial investment of around US$20 million, the warehouse is equipped with modern warehousing and storage facilities supported by a state-of-the-art logistic system. The facility includes refrigerated rooms with cooling temperatures required to maintain the freshness and quality of goods. It also has value added services like processing and cleaning laboratories for fresh meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, plus storage space and offices. Targeting 75% of products sourced locally and with food safety improvement a top priority for the country, METRO has been making continuous efforts to build up strong partnership through training as well as knowledge and expertise transfer for food suppliers and farmers across different regions and states in Myanmar. A competent and efficient supply chain is crucial to METRO's operational success as well as the local community's well-being.

E-commerce & Direct Delivery METRO aims to provide great convenience to its customers. With just a few click, we will deliver to their door step. Delivery will be made to the address specified by customer on the completed order form. Customer can either pay with cash or Debit/Credit card on delivery.
