COVID-19 Health Advisory - Metro Food Delivery

Updated: Jun 24, 2020

Dear Residents

As a result of an increase in the number of COVID-19 positive cases, the Yangon Regional Government (YRG) is heightening safe-distancing measures to pre-empt escalating infections. In alignment with YRG recommendation, we would like to remind the residents the following;

  1. Keep the appropriate distance. At least 6 ft or 1.8 metres;

  2. Deliveries to be placed at the entrance and not place items in your home. If you have a tray or container in which to place the order that is preferred;

  3. Wear a mask and if possible gloves when accepting deliveries;

  4. Prevent family members from interacting with delivery staff especially small children and older members of the family;

  5. No cash transactions. If payment by card, the machine should be placed between you and the Metro staff. The Metro staff shall step back and give the instructions from a distance;

  6. Sanitise after accepting the deliveries (wash hands, sanitise hands and clean surfaces). Consider cleaning the delivered items as well.

Safe-Distancing Reminder

We would also like to suggest that you take stricter safe-distancing measures by staying at home and avoid any non-essential contact for the next 14 days.

Should you show any COVID-19 symptoms or have travel history to parts of the world infected with COVID-19, the recommendations are;

  • Consult professional medical advice;

  • Self-isolation for a minimum period of 14 days. I.e. avoid contact with others;

  • Notify Pun Hlaing Estate management;

  • Maintaining good personal hygiene including washing hands well and often.

Please go to the following website for the World Health Organization's recommendation of good practices for COVID-19: https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public
