Community Notification: COVID-19 Response - Level 1 Actions

Updated: Mar 31, 2020

Dear Residents

Further to our previous communication on the COVID-19 issue, as a result of the increased spread and heightened risk of COVID 19 a number of locations within Yangon and across Myanmar have been placed into lockdown. I.e. Level 1

At this level;

  • Third party construction sites around the Estate will be stopped.

  • We have close Horizons and Oasis restaurant as demanded by government.

  • Oasis menu will be reduced with a take away offering.

  • We will maintain essential Estate Management services – waste management, utilities, F&B delivery and security.

  • The Golf Course and tennis courts will remain open with limited services to residents and members.

This is in addition to the above additional actions, we remind you of the following actions that have already been implemented;

  • Temperature checks for all entrants to the Estate.

  • No meetings involving more than 20 people including no conferences at Awei Metta.

  • All Estate events postponed.

  • Dulwich College Yangon closed.

  • Spa closed.

  • New construction works have been scaled down and prioritized.

We recommend you take action should you show any symptoms or have travel history to parts of the world already affected by COVID-19;

  • Self-isolation for a minimum period of 14 days. I.e. avoid contact with others.

  • Consult professional medical advice.

  • Social distancing

  • Please notify Pun Hlaing Estate management.

  • Maintaining good personal hygiene including washing hands well and often.

The WHO advises good practices for COVID-19 at the following website:

  • Should you require any assistance we have our contact line at 1461 (from landlines within the Estate) or 09955400911.

  • Should you require any medical information contact Pun Hlaing Siloam Hospital hotline at 013684323.

We reiterate that the there is no need to panic – our preparations are intended to allow us to respond promptly, in a transparent manner, in the event of further escalation in the situation.

Kind regards

Jonathan Hegarty

General Manager
