A Statement from Management

One of our Pun Hlaing Estate residents was in quarantine facilities since 8 April and eventually tested positive for COVID-19 on 10 April. The resident is currently warded in Wai Bar Gi, Government Infectious Diseases Hospital, while the resident’s family members and domestic helpers are now in self-isolation per government’s instruction.

The Estate management team immediately notified our residents to provide the latest information as we know it. We have closed our country club, gym and swimming pool for deep cleaning and disinfecting, and we continue to regularly disinfect common areas around the estate. In parallel, we enacted our COVID-19 response plan which include thorough contact tracing to ensure we manage potential risks of spread. We are also providing the family with support in this time of uncertainty.

We would like to thank all our residents for their continued support and for adhering to the COVID-19 plans we have in place. The plans included providing information on personal hygiene, physical distancing measures and what to do if self-isolation was necessary. Our residents are also able to order Metro’s wide assortment of grocery products online, with door-to-door delivery services provided.

Even though all our community activities have stopped as we adopt strict social distancing practises, we should still remember that being physically apart doesn’t mean that we can’t continue to keep the spirit of our Estate community strong. This is the time where we should focus on, and be heartened by, the moments of triumph in everyday acts of courage, humanity and love, and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of Pun Hlaing Estate.
