Love is Spicy & Tangy

Mutton curry (Sate Thar Hin) It’s lovely spicy and fresh flavours are slightly influenced by the neighbour countries, India and Thailand, although still keeping a unique style of its own. With well-balanced spices and perfectly tender meat, this aromatic curry dish melts in your mouth.

Pennyworth salad (Myin Kwa Yuet Thote) is a regular feature on restaurant menus and generally popular with visitors. Pennywort itself is a leafy herb with a somewhat bitter taste, perhaps slightly resembling cress and served in combined with lime juice, peanuts, fish sauce, sesame seeds and optional chillies. Not only the centre of relaxation and recreation for the estate, Country Club is elegantly decorated with some of the most exquisite traditional wood curving figures and floral designs (Myanmar Panbu) at the entrance and throughout the walkway. The local artisans make create wooden figure or figurine by means of a knife in one hand or a chisel by two hands.

Burmese ladies use Thanakha powder to make up for over 2000 in their history. The simple way to paint Thanakha on face is stretching a round patches on cheeks, a line on bridge of nose and forehead or chin. However, face-painting also become an art with sophisticated way to draw on face such leaf, flower and so on. Thanakha is not only for beauty but for its benefits for skins. Htamane festival

The Htamane festival is a traditional event in Myanmar that occurs around the Full Moon Day of Tabodwe, the eleventh month of the Myanmar Calendar (which usually falls in late January or early February). Myanmar has celebrated the traditional Htamane Festival by holding a cooking competition at Shwedagon pagoda before Full Moon Day of Tabodwe to offer Buddha as per custom. Htamane is a mixture of Glutinous Rice, fried coconut shavings, roasted peanuts, toasted sesame, ground nut oil and ginger. The Htamane festival is held throughout the country every year to celebrate and honor the achievement of the monsoon rice harvest. This Festival helps promote unity and mutual support.

Chinlone

Chinlone, also known as caneball, is the traditional, national sport of Myanmar (Burma). It is non-competitive, with typically five or six people playing together as one team. The ball used is normally made from handwoven rattan, which sounds like a basket when hit. Similar to the game of hacky-sack, chinlone is played by individuals passing the ball among each other within a circle without using their hands.
